2 Year Update

I am sure enjoying being a two year old! I'm becoming more and more like my big sister and I love it! I can do just about anything she can do! I saw the doctor yesterday for my two year check up. I ended up having to get two shots. I cried for about a minute, then stopped. Mommy said I was brave! I weighed in at 23.6 pounds and am 34 inches tall. I have a BMI of 14. That puts me in the 10% for weight and 50% for height. I am developmentally on target for my age. I can speak in sentences now, although sometimes it is difficult to understand me. When people don't understand me, I become frustrated. I have to be reminded to use my words, because it's hard to remember. I have an upper respiratory infection, but it's been no big deal. I just have a bad cough and a runny nose. I also had my check up with the pediatric urologist yesterday to review the results of my sonogram. Everything came back normal, which is good! He doesn't even want to see me for two more years! Yay! I recently switched to "big girl" panties, instead of training panties. I'm really excited about that. I didn't really like the princess ones my sister used, so Mommy took me out and I got to pick out the ones that I like. I picked Tinkerbell, which my my second choice. They were out of Diego! I love everything girly. In fact, my Aunt Leelee gave me a purse for my birthday. It's pink and sparkly and I love it! I carry it with me everywhere. I love to find treasures to put in there. I am a collector. I like to find things and put them in categories in different places around the house. Mommy is always finding my surprises everywhere! I still like to climb, run, jump, and do anything physical. I love to dance and love music. In fact, I just recently started singing songs I know, mostly from music class. I love being outdoors and I love animals. In fact, I went on a pony ride recently, and now I'm convinced I need a horse! Anyhow, life is good, I can't complain!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Here are some pictures from my birthday party. Thanks to everyone who came to help me celebrate, and thanks for all of the really awesome toys/gifts/clothes! Here I am with my sister prior to the party. I had a fitness party this year, which was really fun. I loved it, because I am so active by nature! The dancing and obstacle course were the best. I fact, I took a three hour nap after the party if that tells you anything! Did I mention that I also LOVE cake and ice cream! For weeks leading up to my birthday, Mommy was trying to get gift ideas and would ask me, "Honey, what do you want for your birthday?" Everytime, my response was the same, "Cake!" I got a Wall-E cake this year, probably because my sister really loves him!
Here I am checking out the loot!

Two Year Update

Just like my sister, I started school this year, two days a week. Mommy started working full time, although she may be going to part time really soon. My language skills have been developing very rapidly. I speak in entire sentences now. I know all my colors and shapes, and can count to four. I have recently started singing songs. My favorite is a song by a group called Trout Fishing in America. They sing a silly song called "Throw it out the Window" and I LOVE it! I also know my days of the week and months of the year, thanks to two catchy songs my sister brought home from school! I haven't had my two year doctors appointment yet, but Mommy will post my stats as soon as I do. My motor skills are great. I can run, jump, crawl, climb, skip, etc. I love to drive the Barbie Jeep. I love music and love to dance as well. I also love to eat, although I tend to be quite picky and am not interested in trying new things. In fact, I would live on fruit, macaroni and cheese, and fruit snacks if Mommy would let me! I love chasing Frisco around. My sister and I have been having some difficulty getting along, but we're working on it.

Good News!

By now, all of you know this, but I'm going to be a big sister! I am SO excited! Finally, I will get to boss someone around! Just kidding. I'm looking forward to meeting my little brother or sister!

22 Month Update

I am 22 months old now and loving life! I can do SO many things now! I am dressing myself and can usually get my shoes on all by myself too. My speech is becoming more clear and although my grammar is not yet perfect, I am starting to use full sentences to get my point across! We are working on being able to sing a song! I can sing the beginning of the ABC song. I know all of my colors and all most shapes. I am still very active and love climbing, running, rolling, jumping, and dancing. I love to explore and make people laugh! I even laugh at myself a lot of the time! I am becoming more and more creative in my play. I enjoy acting out pretend things with Mommy and sister. I am also developing more of an interest in the computer. Every time I see my sister playing a game, I want to play too. Although Mommy thinks I mostly just want to climb onto the desk and sit! I start real school two days a week beginning Tuesday! I got a new backpack and a sleeping mat. My sister is excited, so I am pretty excited too. We took a tour of the school and I really liked the playground, cars, and animals. Did you know my new school has a goat, a lama, a coi pond, and some turtles? Two months from now, I'll be having my 2nd birthday party! Time to start planning!

Puddle of Fun

Here I am messing around having a BLAST at the playground/splash park in Boston Common!

1st Hair Cut & Then Some!

For those of you who read my sister's blog first, you know the past few weeks have been pretty crazy for us. I got my first hair cut! Here I am messing around with my sister before the cut. Mommy took me to the stylist alone, so there would be no distractions. We went to a special kids cutting place. I refused to sit in the car chair, so they let me sit in Mommy's lap. They put a special two-headed gown over both of us. It was pretty funny! Mommy let me munch on a snack, which was enough of a distraction while the lady cut my hair. I got several inches taken off, and I LOVE it! Just look at me! I look/feel more like a "big girl" now! As a reward, I got a sucker afterwards! My favorite! We had a lot of family in town a few weeks ago, which was really fun for my sister and I. Here I am with Aunt Pat. She seriously give some of THE BEST tickles! We also had a tributary brunch for Mommy's cousin Brian at one of our favorite restaurants. Here I am with Nana and Papa! We also went to the circus with Papa recently, which I LOVED! I was mezmorized until the very end! Here I am trying on a clown nose!
Check back in a few weeks, because we're leaving for Beantown tomorrow! I can't wait to see my Aunt Lele! Everytime anyone talks about it, I start screaming "Leelee, Leelee". I'm looking forward to seeing Mogwai too!
